Mrs. Harvey's High Praise

The kids in my reading 212 class have been rereading Porpoises in Peril, the text they read in ELA, using close reading strategies that reinforce their areas for growth.

Today we were analyzing a character in the text by identifying what the character says and does.  The kids did such a great job of identifying the characters actions and words.  But even better was how they took what they read and used the 7 Habits to describe the character.

Waiting for Vision Screenings

Thank you to our Lions Club volunteers for assisting us with vision screenings yearly.

Our Volunteers Make the Magic Happen

Thank you to Mrs. Federico and all of our fabulous volunteers.

We love Read Alouds

Students in Mrs. Molen's class ask and answer questions about a book she is reading aloud.

What is The Leader In Me?

That's a REALLY hard question to ask because it's a pretty complex idea.  Building character, leadership skills, learning responsibility.  We think these kids did a pretty good job.  This is a question we'll ask often this year and will post videos as the kids develop their leadership skills.
