First Volunteer Activity of 16.17

By this evening, you should have either received a letter from your child's teacher or a Porch Pop In.  If you have received neither, first please check your front door and see if a letter was left for you there.  If not, please call us on Thursday to inquire as to who your child's teacher is.  We learned last year that some letters are received the day after mailing, some take up to 5 days.  We're not sure why this is.  Regardless, we'd like all of our kids to know who their homeroom teachers are by Thursday morning.

First order of volunteer business for 16.17
Each teacher is looking for someone to collect fees and write receipts on Meet the Teacher Night.  You can sign up to help your child's teacher here:

Fees will be $60 per student this year and CAN be payable online but not until August 8th.  We'll send more info on that date if you'd like to get this task off your to-do list.

Managing Communication from Longbranch

Parents have asked for a more streamlined procedure for communication from Longbranch.  Currently, we have so many modes of communication, it's hard to keep up with and they are not synced.  Beginning now, all communication will be synced.  If an email goes out, a notice will go out on text, blog, social media, and website so you can always feel informed.

**If an item is sent out via the mass phone system, you will be informed by text, email, blog, and social media.
**We don't typically post on YouTube or use the phone system.  These two happen less frequently than the other forms of communication.
