Mrs. Heinze's Scientists Explore Force, Motion, Geometry, and Measurement

We are building cars as a culminating activity for our last topics in Math and Science. We will be  using geometry, measurement and data to build and measure our cars. The cars are created from only straws, paper, tape and life savers. The students will use the science of force and motion to make their car go from Point A to Point B. They will take into consideration friction as well as potential and kinetic energy as they build and test. They will refine their car and test it to make a final product that will be fast and most efficient. We are in Stage 2 (building cars). Stage 1 was making a plan and drawing out their model on paper. They are having a blast.
